The AIR5428 Phase 1 NATC project is a key initiative supporting the Australian Defence Force’s pilot training program. It involves the design and construction of new training facilities, incorporating advanced flight training systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The project aims to deliver fit-for-purpose infrastructure that enables the installation and commissioning of critical training devices, ensuring the program meets its operational milestones. Canberra Defence Precinct Tranch1 ADFA Living-in Accommodation

The ADFA LIA project aimed to enhance the wellbeing and security of Australia’s Defence cadets by replacing outdated accommodation with 1,500 new rooms. Yanun’s services included developing the design and construction master program, providing monthly schedule reporting and KPIs.
Hunter Class Future Frigate Program

The $6 billion Hunter Class Frigate Project aimed to deliver six advanced frigates for the Royal Australian Navy. As cost and schedule analysts, we established and managed the Engineering Prototype Baseline, led Control Account Manager reviews, and created Work Breakdown Structures and budgets for Earned Value Management (EVM). Key challenges included balancing customization with timelines, workforce training, and complex stakeholder dynamics.
Nuclear Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY)

In partnership with Turner and Townsend and Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI), Yanun is overseeing the programs’ project controls for the design and construction of the NPSCY. The project includes design and construction of nuclear submarine construction facilities and associated infrastructure. The project control’s function will be managing multiple tier one design consultancies and involves several programs of work across various site areas. Yanun’s services include developing and managing the Integrated Master Schedule, project control plans, Design Programming, as well as analysing project performance using Earned Value Management (EVM).
RAAF Base Richmond Redevelopment

The $430 million program focused on delivering facility and infrastructure upgrades to support the AIR7404 PH1 Medium Air Mobility Aircraft Capability Project. The scope aimed to align RAAF Base Richmond with the Defence Estate Strategy, ensuring compliance with Defence standards and improving base functionality, livability, and usability. Key challenges included complex infrastructure, a sensitive stakeholder environment, and budget constraints. Services provided included program setup, development of a Resource Breakdown Structure, monthly updates, and independent reviews of contractor progress.
Woomera Range Complex Redevelopment

The redevelopment of the Woomera Range Complex, 445 km north-west of Adelaide, is upgrading critical defence infrastructure, including hangars, taxiways, living accommodations, and essential facilities. Delivered by CPB and Downer, our services involve independent programming services, construction program reviews, and maintaining the PMCA Master Program.
Future Submarine Program - Adelaide SA

The Future Submarine Program (SEA1000) aimed to deliver Australia’s next-generation submarine capability but was shelved in favour of nuclear submarines. As lead infrastructure project manager, we managed the 30% design phase, procured design consultants, oversaw delivery of the Combat Systems Integration Facility, and chaired the program schedule working group. Our services also included performance analysis, budget management, and procurement oversight, ensuring program readiness for what was set to be Australia’s largest defence acquisition at the time.
